River Rock Table Games: Blackjack, Baccarat, Roulette and More

Rivers Rock Canada desk · Aug 7, 2026

River Rock's floor is best understood through the games BC casinos offer and the mathematics that governs them — the part that stays true no matter how the floor is arranged this month.

What lives on a major BC casino floor

Large BC venues typically spread blackjack, baccarat (including high-limit formats), roulette, and a rotation of poker-derived table games, alongside electronic table variants. River Rock has historically been known for a strong baccarat offering and for hosting one of the region's significant poker rooms. Exact table counts, limits and the day's mix change constantly — the venue and its floor staff are the only current source, so verify before a special trip (riverrock.com).

The mathematics you can rely on

  • Blackjack: house edge depends on the posted rules — deck count, dealer soft-17 behaviour, doubling and splitting rights, blackjack payout. Rules matter more than "hot tables": see Blackjack House Edge.
  • Baccarat: banker and player bets carry a low house edge; the tie bet does not. The math is fixed by the rules, not by streaks or scorecards.
  • Roulette: the wheel defines the edge — single-zero is materially better for players than double-zero wherever both exist. See Roulette Odds in Canada.
  • Side bets: almost always carry a higher edge than the base game. Treat them as entertainment surcharge.

Etiquette and ground rules

  • 19+ with ID, always.
  • Buy in between hands; place cash on the felt, not in the dealer's hand.
  • Table minimums are posted at each table; they change with demand.
