How We Verify (Fact-Checking & Corrections)
Rivers Rock Canada desk · Aug 7, 2026
Every changing fact on Rivers Rock Canada carries a date. This page explains the machinery behind that promise.
The verification ladder
For each claim we record what was said, where it came from, when we observed it and how volatile it is:
- High volatility (hours, promotions, events, dining, fees, jackpots): re-checked frequently; if we cannot re-verify, the claim is flagged or removed.
- Medium volatility (rooms, parking, transit, game inventory): re-checked roughly monthly.
- Low volatility (history, game mathematics, definitions): re-checked twice a year.
Source hierarchy
- Venue facts: the official venue website and official venue channels.
- Regulation and online products: the regulator, legislation, or the provincial operator.
- Corporate transactions: the parties' announcements, corroborated where material.
- Transport and destination: TransLink, YVR and official tourism sources.
- Reviews and user content: only for clearly labelled perceptions, never as the source of an operational fact.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we say so. Corrections are applied to the affected article with an explicit note and date; the article's URL is preserved. A change that alters a conclusion is a correction; a change that only clarifies wording is an update.
